So today, i had to wake up early in the morning at 4.45 am to get ready for Girl Guides,have to wear full uniform and all..Today was the remembrance day for the men that died for all free men meaning the people who had died to protect us..If it weren't for them sacrificing their lives by fighting in wars just to save us, we weren't be here or even be safe in our country in the first place..So consider us lucky ya..There were other uniformed groups from other schools that went there too..There were a lot of caucassian men and women too..Of course, we're girls so after the memorial, we kept searching for cute white guys..We did have fun.. It was held at Kranji..The uniformed groups had to stand in the sun, hearing what the people had to say about the brave men,having two minutes of silence and all..Some of us fainted and didn't feel good..Not me FYI nor even my school guides.. After their speeches, the NCCs and Girl Guides had to have our own ceremony for them..We had to salute to the men while buglers played their unknown instrument..I think it was a trumpet or something.. I always get mixed up with these kinds of instruments.. We had another one minute of silence and the same girl fainted again, this time it was worst.. The man in charged told us that we were lucky today to have a safe country, thanks to them.. He also said that we had to change as life goes on..Life will change,Friends will change etc, as we grow older, we can't be the same, we also have to change, our minds,our thoughts,our attitude,our stage of maturity etc.. Then the man in charged ends the ceremony with a quote:
"They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old;
Ages shall not weary them nor the years condemn.At the
going down of the sun,and in the morning,We will
remember them"..
And with this, the ceremony was over..
